Product goals are to provide a product that is safe for customers to use or can be completed at low cost, to provide or circumvent proprietary inventions, or to increase mechanical strength.
The requirements existing at the starting point of development are expanded into a product requirement specification and form the basis for concept development. The requirements specification should be developed as completely as possible at the beginning of the product development, i.e. with the start of the concept phase. Requirements that are forgotten or incorrectly formulated here usually lead to changes that are cost-intensive and time-consuming.
The use of checklists has proven useful for defining requirements due to the large number of areas to be considered. At the same time, such lists for creating a requirements profile serve directly as a protocol that can be shared with all development partners. Impetus Plastics uses checklists that have been compiled in detail, also specifically for plastic components, and we are continuously expanding them.
As an implementation service provider and technical consultant, Impetus Plastics ensures that its customers know what is technologically possible – when it makes sense – and in what time frame when implementing their product idea. IMPETUS ensures that the deadlines are set sensibly and that the cost targets are set and achieved correctly. At the same time, the quality of the product is optimally adjusted by using the latest simulation software and the best possible selected test procedures. In addition, we efficiently use a wide range of risk assessment procedures for risk assessment.
